Jade Experiment is a Geneva trio, founded in 2024, playing eclectic music that draws on jazz, funk and rock. Through original compositions, the band sets out to surprise its audience while keeping the music open and inviting.
Often instrumental, the trio also weaves in the voices of its three members for new textures and harmonies — and regularly welcomes guests on stage (bassists, trumpeters, saxophonists and singers) to widen its palette and chase new directions.
Drums & Percussion
Born in 1983 and based in Geneva, Andrew has been fascinated by sound — and percussion above all — since childhood, picking up the drums at twelve. His travels, from Burkina Faso to Latin America, brought back the balafon, the pandeiro and the cajón.
Keys & Bass · Vocals
Pianist, bassist, singer and composer from London. Twenty-five years across jazz, funk, soul, latin, rock and world music, with collaborations spanning Rio 77, Pete Horsfall, BC Manjunath and The Aurora Orchestra. Now in Geneva, he is prized for his versatility and taste for the unexpected.
Guitar & Bass
Trained in classical guitar at the Annecy conservatory (graduating in 1996), Jimmy moved into electric guitar and the worlds of rock, funk and jazz. He now plays in several bands, including Funk it Up, Djinn and Djelly Fanga.
